The full lost wax ceramic shell casting experience. From sculpting in wax to pouring molten bronze and finishing your piece – you'll leave with a bronze sculpture you made yourself.

What to expect
What’s involved
Learning in an active foundry changes how you understand the craft. You're not in a classroom – you're in the real environment where this work actually happens.

Immersive & intensive
Four full days covering every stage of the process. You won't just observe, you'll do.

Social & collaborative
Lunch provided daily, shared together. A supportive group of fellow makers around you throughout.

David Snoo Wilson and Richard Balman, professional artists with years of foundry experience, guide you throughout.
Practicalities
Everything you need to know

What to bring
All materials and safety equipment are provided. We'd suggest a notepad, your phone for photos, and sturdy closed-toe footwear, ideally safety boots. Clothes that can get a little dirty.
Mould making students: bring the sculpture you'd like to mould (max 20cm).

Camping on-site
Stay on the foundry grounds for the full experience. Bring your own tent, you'll have access to showers, toilets, a fire pit, and the shared social area used during the course days.
£25 per night - arrive the night before if you'd like

Accommodation nearby
Not a camping person? No problem. We have a selection of recommended B&Bs in the area and are happy to send details on request.
Lunch is provided daily. Please let us know of any dietary requirements.
