Bespoke Bronze Sculpture Commissions

Original bronze sculpture, created for public spaces, private gardens, homes, meaningful gifts and one-of-a-kind art projects.

Start with a story, a place, a landmark, a memory, a sketch, or the first flicker of an idea…

At The Lost Foundry, Rich and the team shape original concepts into enduring bronze sculptures, crafted through the ancient lost-wax process and finished by hand in our working foundry.

Your ideas, cast in bronze

Every bespoke commission takes root in the imagination, gathering form through conversation, craftsmanship and elemental fire.

You might bring a fully realised concept; you might simply bring sketches, photographs, or nothing more than a feeling.

Our job is to nurture your vision with absolute care.

We consider scale, setting, movement, texture, and finish – then combine sculpture, mould making, bronze casting, metalwork and patination to create a piece that is personal, purposeful and exquisitely made.

FOR PUBLIC OR PRIVATE SPACES

Created for meaningful spaces

Bronze carries a rare permanence and presence that few materials can hope to match. It holds detail, catches light, and weathers beautifully – making it a powerful medium for public art, private gardens, interiors, memorials and one-of-a-kind gifts.

Public and commercial commissions

Housing developments • Public spaces • Art trails • Memorial gardens • Commercial buildings • Lobby installations • Landscape design projects

For developers, councils, art organisations, design companies and public realm teams, bespoke bronze can create a focal point with lasting character. A sculpture can help give a place identity, tell a local story, mark a development, or bring a stronger artistic presence to a shared space.

Private client commissions

Garden sculpture • Animal sculpture • Personal gifts • Home features • Memorial pieces • One-off art pieces

For private clients, a bronze commission can be deeply personal. A much-loved pet, a family story, a favourite place, a meaningful object, or a sculptural garden feature can all become the starting point for something truly original.

How the process works

1. Share your ideas

Send us a short description of what you would like to create. Include the purpose, setting, rough size and any reference images, sketches or inspiration you already have.

2. We explore the direction

Rich and the team will look at what you have sent over and talk through what may be possible. At this stage, we can help refine the creative route and advise on scale, detail, finish and practical considerations.

3. We shape the commission

Once the direction is clearer, we can prepare a quotation based on the complexity of the piece, the amount of sculpting required, the casting process, the finish, and the timescale.

4. The piece enters The Foundry

Your commission then moves into the hands of The Foundry team, where it is brought to life through a process that has changed little in centuries. Each piece is cast in bronze by hand and worked carefully through every stage, from the first mould to the final patina, until it leaves the studio as a finished sculpture.

About The Lost Foundry

The Lost Foundry specialises in fine art bronze casting using the traditional lost wax method – a process that has carried sculpture through millennia of artistic history.

The work is physical, precise and reliant on expert judgment – where fine details must survive the mould, weld lines must vanish, and colour must feel intentional. Texture, weight and finish all align to serve the final sculpture.

The result is a bronze piece with depth, character and lasting presence.

Ready to create something original?

Send us a short description of what you have in mind, and we’ll take it from there.

You do not need to arrive with a finished design; a clear idea, a few references or a simple starting point is enough to begin the conversation.
